Goodleaf Tree Climbing and Boojum & Snark celebrate National Tree Week
Celebrate National Tree Week with some creative tree fun at Boojum & Snark, Sandown. Using the ancient Japanese paper folding art of Origami, community artists Eccleston George will be on hand to see if you can recreate nature by making Sycamore helicopter seeds - out of a square sheet of paper.
Goodleaf Tree Climbing are sponsoring the event and will be there to top up your tree and seed knowledge. They're bringing their Big Shot catapult along and if the weather's good there'll be the chance to launch your seed and see if it will fly in the way that nature intended! |

Take ten minutes out to knit away your worries and play a creative part in Boojum and Snark's Sandown Scarf.
The Knitting Chair is a playful project designed to encourage people to be still and just simply sit and knit. The goal is to produce a very, very long wall of glorious woolen colour that illustrates the community support for our town.
And what's more it is good for you. The repetitive action literally slows down thought processes giving your mind a break from all the stress and worry of modern living. So, go on sit and knit - it's yarntastic!

Boojum & Snark run many different types of free family workshops including flag making, paper folding and pom poms. We are currently in the process of conjuring up some new creative ideas so watch this space. (these workshops are all run on a voluntary basis)
